April 29th is Nation Shrimp Scampi Day. We love a good food holiday, and any excuse to have shrimp scampi on the menu! Join us on April 29th and order the special Shrimp Scampi dish to celebrate.

Want to celebrate at home? Chef Heather shares DiAnoia’s recipe for Shrimp Scampi below.

DiAnoia’s Shrimp Scampi

1-2 large slices of sourdough
6 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 TBL minced garlic
1 cup of white wine
2 TBL cold butter
1 tsp minced parsley
olive oil
salt

In a medium sized skillet, on medium-high heat, add a dash of olive oil
Add shrimp and garlic, and cook for about 30 seconds
Flip each shrimp over, and add white wine
Reduce wine by half, until the shrimp is fully cooked
Remove from heat, add cold butter and swirl pan until fully incorporated
Finish with a sprinkle of salt and chopped parsley
Separately, drizzle olive oil on your sourdough slices, and toast in a skillet on high heat for about 45 seconds on each side.
